Indonesia Team Leader –EU-Indonesia Trade Cooperation Facility
International Market Leader Niche Sector Opportunity to work in a large scale donor funded project
The overall objective of the EU-Indonesia Trade Cooperation Facility is to support sustainable economic development in Indonesia.
The project Specific Objective is to strengthen the capacity of government institutions to pursue reform initiatives in selected areas related to the improvement of trade and investment climate in Indonesia, such as trade and investment policy, investment facilitation, intellectual property rights, energy planning efficiency, science and technology, trade and environment
The programme will have an indirect impact on poverty reduction in the country, as through the improvement of trade and investment climate and the sustainability of economic growth there will be a positive effect in income levels and employment.
The role will lead in the successful implementation of the project.
To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrated:
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the management and/or participation in projects involving technical aspects covered by the TCF, such as: trade and investment policy, investment facilitation, intellectual property rights, energy planning efficiency, science and technology, trade and environment
Proven knowledge of European Union project management procedures and financial regulations
A minimum of 10 years professional experience in trade and investment matters, with a particular emphasis on trade and investment policy issues
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in managing trade related technical assistance programmes in developing countries, preferably in Asia; Relevant professional experience in Indonesia would be an added advantage
Management and/or participation in projects involving the development of solid partnerships with high level officials in order to achieve project results
Management and/or participation in projects involving international teams of experts of different technical backgrounds
Management and/or participation in projects involving substantial organizational and mindset change
Master’s Degree or equivalent in economics, international trade, or a discipline related to the issues covered in the programme
Knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia would be an added advantage; Excellent verbal and written command of English is a must.
Proven access to a network among international practitioners and experts in the topics covered by the programme, which will allow him to identify and select the most appropriate candidates for the short term expert positions
