Pakistan Emergency Programme Officer

People in Need (PIN) is Czech Republic based humanitarian and development NGO. Read more about People in Need on the organisation’s website www.peopleineed.cz. PIN started its activities in Pakistan in response to the July-August 2010 floods. PIN has been distributing material relief aid and has been involved in WASH relief activities. PIN is currently extending its activities to other sectors.

Location: Pakistan, Tendo Allahyar Starting date: February 2012 Duration: 9 months Programme Officer, Pakistan The Project Officer is responsible for managing relief projects. Specifically, he/she is responsible for:

Main responsibilities: • Overall responsibility for a relief project management within Consortium Alliance 2015 • Coordinating of local and international NGO partners • Reporting to the HQ and to donors • Communication with strategic partners, donors and other stakeholders • Regular monitoring • Management of a local staff team

Key Requirements:

• Fluency in written and spoken English • Proven record in project and team management in emergency sector • Experience in reporting, monitoring/evaluation, proposal writing, and donor communication • Ability to work in a challenging environment, experience with remote rural areas great advantage • Dedication to work in the sector of relief aid • Working experience in a developing country
