UNHCR - FINANCE OFFICER, IPSAS (P-3)

Established in December 1950, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is mandated to lead and coordinate international action to protect and assist refugees and other persons of concern. FINANCE OFFICER, IPSAS (P-3)
IN BUDAPEST, HUNGARY

The IPSAS Unit leads UNHCR’s transition from the United Nations System Accounting Standards (UNSAS) to the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS). It seeks to ensure that UNHCR issues IPSAS-compliant financial statements for 2012.

 Education:
Advanced university degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

 Work Experience:
Minimum 6 years of relevant experience using PeopleSoft and configuration of at least four of the following PeopleSoft modules: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Inventory, Asset Management, Commitment Control, Accounts Receivable. Proven experience in application of accounting standards, such as GAAP, IAS, IFRS or IPSAS.
