WaterAid Research Manager : Vauxhall, London
Salary: Starting from £42,795
Location: Vauxhall, London
Working within the Programme Support Unit (TSU), you will be responsible for managing an international programme of research with a current focus on issues of sanitation, hygiene and sustainability. For the first four years a significant proportion of this responsibility will be supporting a large sustainable total sanitation programme in Nigeria.
Overall your role will include the identification of research priorities, working with WaterAid country programmes to develop research proposals, supporting the delivery of the research outputs and building research capacity.
With significant experience in international development, you will preferably hold a PhD specialising in sanitation, hygiene or a closely related discipline, or alternatively a Masters with relevant research experience. You will have sound project management skills, coupled with experience of managing contracts and teams.
A confident communicator, you will have strong presentation skills and be experienced in effectively establishing, managing and maintaining networks. The ability to travel extensively is essential.
