UNDP Lead Policy Advisors for the Arab States
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) seeks to recruit Lead Policy Advisors for the Arab States in the Poverty Reduction, Gender Equality and Environment and Energy areas. Based in the UNDP Regional Centre in Cairo, the Lead Professionals’ role is to provide policy advice to the UNDP Senior Managers in the Arab States Country Offices and contribute to the global development policy debate from the perspective of the Arab Region.
The Practice Leader of the Poverty Group will work on the MDGs and post-2015 development agenda. The Practice Leader of the Environment and Energy Group will coordinate the work of global and regional environmental/energy programmes in the region, including the work of the Global Environment Facility and Drylands Development Centre. The Practice Leader of the Democratic Governance Group will target UNDP’s Strategy of Response to Transformative Change and strengthen the relevance of UNDP’s core governance principles in the region
