Qualifications

Applicants should have a PhD degree with a distinguished record of scholarly research. Fields are open but preference will be given to those with solid theoretical background and experience on empirical research related to economic development of China and the Asia Pacific economies. Teaching ability and experience of thesis supervision at postgraduate level are required. Experience on leadership to academic staff is preferred. Candidates with less academic achievement may be considered for Associate Professorship.

Selected candidate is expected to assume duty in August 2013.

Position and Remuneration

Remuneration and appointment rank offered will be competitive and commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification, current position and professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12%, while after various discretionary exemptions the effective income tax rate has been around 5% - 7%.
