ActionAid Community Fundraising Officer
SALARY: £25,880 to £27,707 pa pro rata
CONTRACT: Permanent
LOCATION: London, EC1R 0BJ
CLOSING DATE: Tuesday 11 September 2012
At ActionAid we've undergone significant planned change to ensure we are better positioned to deliver lasting solutions to the problems of global poverty. A new structure and fresh thinking has re-energised the organisation. We've now created fantastic career opportunities for experienced sector professionals who want to be part of an organisation that is focused on delivering a bold strategy to provide sustained improvements to the poorest and most excluded people in the world. Join our action to end poverty now and be part of something truly amazing.
Your role will be to support our community fundraising and maximise the income we receive from local supporter groups and individuals who raise money for us. This will involve managing our fundraising relationships with them, helping them be as successful as possible, and increasing long-term support by ensuring they have a positive experience with us.
As a spokesperson for the charity, you’ll liaise with local media and give presentations, while on a more strategic level, you’ll contribute to planning, budget forecasting and monitoring.
Experience in a similar role should mean you know how to help and motivate a wide range of supporters so income and profile are raised. It should show you’re skilled at fundraising, managing events and public speaking, as well as developing and delivering marketing and communication plans that include digital channels and social media.
Bring us all this and you can look forward to all the opportunities which are generated by our innovations and increased investment in our people.
