Legacy Marketing Manager

SALARY: £35,800 to £38,327 pa pro rata
CONTRACT: Permanent
LOCATION: London, EC1R 0BJ
CLOSING DATE: Friday 14 September 2012

At ActionAid we've undergone significant planned change to ensure we are better positioned to deliver lasting solutions to the problems of global poverty. A new structure and fresh thinking has re-energised the organisation. We've now created fantastic career opportunities for experienced sector professionals who want to be part of an organisation that is focused on delivering a bold strategy to provide sustained improvements to the poorest and most excluded people in the world. Join our action to end poverty now and be part of something truly amazing.

Your role will be to develop and deliver a strategy that increases our legacy income by 30% over the next 5 years. This will involve working closely with colleagues to promote legacies as a key way of supporting us and to ensure legacy giving is marketed regularly in supporter communications such as our website, social media and supporter magazine. As legacy champion within the organisation, we will look to you to deliver bespoke legacy campaigns, build relationships with supporters as well as provide monitoring and develop forecasts.

Extensive direct marketing experience in the charity sector should mean that you know how to develop a case for legacy giving, devise appropriate marketing strategies and work with directors and trustees to increase organisational support for this method of fundraising. It should also show that you’re skilled at assessing the copy and design for such campaigns, and familiar with budgeting and planning, including performance analysis.

Bring us all this and you can look forward to all the opportunities which are generated by our innovations and increased investment in our people.
