Business Development


You will be intensely involved in the selection and decision-making process on new business opportunities worldwide, managing international service tenders by negotiating and forming business partnerships, drafting technically compelling proposals, and building up expert teams. In a dynamic professional environment, you will have challenging assignments, including various field missions in target countries and you will have the responsibility to manage, coordinate and monitor the work of Junior Business Development Managers.  With your initiative and  financial acumen you will be able to deliver commercial results and create business in existing and new markets.

The starting annual gross salary is € 39.200,-- negotiable depending on degree of experience and qualifications.

Expertise:

3-5  years experience bidding for EU/World Bank/DFID or other IFI service tenders
Knowledge of transitional/developing economies and interest in development economics tendencies globally
Management, coordination and supervision of the work of junior staff
Proactive and leadership experience, combined with very good diplomacy and assertive skills
Commercial acumen
Good communication and negotiation skills with interlocutors from both the private and public sector
Strong analytical, planning, assessment and reporting skills
High accuracy and attention to details
Creative and associative thinking
Trouble-shooting skills
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Adaptable in working in a multicultural environment as well as a strong teamplayer

Education:


A (Masters) Degree from a top University in Economics, Law or International Relations
Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English are a must, while fluency in written and spoken French/Spanish/Portuguese will be an additional asset
IT-skills: Advanced use of MS Office and Internet
