Engagement Managers / Senior Associates


Your responsibility is to act as project manager for our teams in the field, helping deliver real change and a lasting legacy, while identifying and developing new business opportunities. As a senior associate you will be responsible for the following tasks:

Manages all aspects of the project under reference and mitigates any risk
Oversees project management support team working on client engagements
Responsible for recruitment of experts
Reviews high-level deliverables across components
Ensures engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures
Ensures performance assessment is documented
Develops, implements, and maintains sound business practises
Reports profit and loss figures
Consolidates and analyses profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and man day utilization
Addresses and resolves all billing issues
Ensures project meets or exceeds budgeted financial objectives, including revenue and margin
Provides guidance for the existing account in all aspects of the BD cycle
Involves, as appropriate, the BD team in order to support sales goals
Grows long-term with the client and capitalizes on equity and partnership opportunities
Reinforces team approach throughout department both on client project and internal initiatives
Supports and solicits input from staff members at all levels within the organization if and when required
Ensures project delivers superior solutions to clients
Enforces PMG standard policies and procedures

Expertise:


As an ideal candidate you have experience in the following fields:

3-5 years relevant professional experience in environmental, economic, social or legal policy work
Good financial and budget management skills
Exceptional project management skills
Superior communication and reporting skills
Uses diplomacy and appropriate discretion in client relationships
Ability to find the best solution for a given situation
Achieves excellence in all areas of business
Support the implementation of new ideas
Proven leadership and team building skills

Education:

A (Masters) Degree from a top University in Economics, Law or International Relations
Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English are a must, while fluency in written and spoken French/Spanish/Portuguese will be an additional asset
IT-skills: Advanced use of MS Office and Internet
