We are seeking to recruit a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to head the strategic finance and administrative functions of the College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan.

The college is ready to move into the new state-of-the-art, $300M+ health sciences facility in Saskatoon with additional facilities under development in other centres across the province. Together with its provincial health authority partners, the College of Medicine provides innovative programs in health through an integrated, province-wide delivery model. The COO needs to be an energetic, highly motivated administrative and financial leader who thrives in a dynamic environment. We are looking at you if you have a collaborative style and will optimize relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders in community, government and healthcare, and will recruit and direct a diverse team of professional and support staff in order to produce successful outcomes. You are adept in resource and business planning, understands and appreciates the academic mission of the College in teaching, research and service, and has a vision for the contributions you can make during a time of growth and change for the College.

Ideally, you will possess an MBA or a postgraduate degree in health care administration combined with a professional accounting designation, as well as a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in a senior administrative and financial leadership role in a university, large healthcare or other complex, multi-dimensional organization or institution that has parallels to a medical university environment. You will have a strong analytical, planning and communication skills with significant experience in managing projects and human resources along with excellent computer skills.
