Position Summary
- Provides specialist technical support for Electrical Engineering discipline across all BG Group UK Upstream assets.
- Ensures technical decisions are inline with best practice and meet corporate Standards and Guidelines.
- Act as Delegate Technical Authority for Electrical Discipline.
Key Accountabilities

HSSE- Ensure that corporate and local Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policies and regulations are applied on all engineering, plant and process modification activities.
- Participate in Hazop and safety related reviews.
- Contribute to asset risk identification and mitigation reviews

Interface- First Line discipline support to UKU installations
- Coordinate discipline 3rd party maintenance planned and campaign activity.
- Provide Electrical Maintenance Engineering input to shutdown work groups.
- Provide Electrical Maintenance Engineering input to Global Work Management Project.
- Management of Certified Electrical Equipment Inspection and Maintenance program.
- Maintain effective liaison with other functions, eg. HSSE, Operations, Well Engineering, Petroleum - Engineering etc, as part of developing robust and optimized solutions.

Continuous Improvement- Initiate Management of Change for any needed improvements to maintain system reliability
- Support the Electrical Technical Authority with oversight of Projects driven changes to electrical systems, to ensure fit for purpose changes are implemented

Communications- Coordinate the interfaces with Operations to ensure agreement of workscope.
- Coordinate plans with Operations for timely completion of maintenance activity.

Process- Owner of discipline functional maintenance job plans, ensure these remain current and aligned with installed equipment.

Planning- Ensure appropriate plan entries are made and gate criteria met for activities relating to discipline.

Performance Management- Accurate status reporting of residual ignition risk by analysis of certified electrical equipment inspection data.
- Discipline sacfety critical and general backlog management. 

Financials- Support development and optimisation of budgets and forecasts.
- Cost Management of all Electrical discipline budgets.
- Management of discipline vendor support contracts.
Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
Experience: - Extensive and in depth Electrical discipline experience covering onshore and offshore oil and gas production and operations and associated facilities in a client/operator environment. Exposure to different geographical environments.
- Demonstrable understanding of UK Regulatory framework for the Offshore Oil & Gas Industry and experience with Performance Standard Management and Written Schemes of Examination.
- Demonstrable performance and delivery of maintenance activity.
- Experience in the application of functional assurance processes and techniques to Electrical engineering activities.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and in the assembly of teams to resolve specific technical issues.
- Significant experience in client/operator roles in the management of contractors with active involvement in the application of quality assurance and quality control to contractors engineering activities, including reviewing strategies and philosophies and active participation in reviews and risk/hazard management activities.

Additional Information for External Candidates
There will be a requirement to work offshore and some international travel may be required.
