The Office of Global Leadership & Diversity (GLD) reinforces our culture of meritocracy by advancing leadership & management skills, and integrating diversity considerations into our key business and people processes, such as recruiting, training, career development and other retention strategies. The senior Associate in GLD will play a critical role in working with the central GLD team to execute cross-divisional and firmwide initiatives that support the firm’s diversity mission. 

Principal Job Responsibilities: 
- Implement and manage various Asia Pacific-based diversity-related projects   
- Generate metrics and provide analysis of key diversity challenges throughout the region 
- Oversee internal diversity communications and work to increase the visibility of the firm’s efforts 
- Strategically partner with recruiting to help drive campus and experienced hire diversity recruiting strategy 
- Manage the firm’s participation in benchmarking surveys and award submissions 
- Build relationships with key external diversity partners and participate in relevant conferences 
- Serve as advisor to divisions / regions / affinity networks on the positioning of diversity initiatives 
- Participate in GLD team meetings and serve on working group / subcommittees as required 
- Interface with internal partners (GSU, Legal, Employee Relations, Wellness, Supplier Diversity) on key projects 

Experience & Skills: 
- Keen interest in diversity; driven to help GS be a ‘best in class’ diversity organization 
- Strong project management skills with excellent execution ability and organizational skills 
- Strong analytical skills, including ability to synthesize key messages for senior managers, with a strong sense of discretion and confidentiality 
- Client service orientation and the ability to develop and manage relationships across the firm and within HCM, especially with senior leaders 
- Ability to work independently as well as drive processes and decision-making 
- Excellent written and oral communication skills 
- Self-starting and enthusiastic in approach to work 
- Open and sensitive to cultural / global differences 
- Strong Word, Excel, and Powerpoint skills 
- Asia experience and Asian language skills preferred
