Industry Solutions Manager - Management Solutions, Worldwide Public Sector Education

The Industry Solutions Manager for Management solutions for Worldwide Public Sector Education will work within the Corporate Education Strategy team. The role will report to the General Manager for Education Strategy and with our education cross-group stakeholder leaders in the BGs, Marketing, Services and Sales organizations to deliver a strategy for classroom and Device Management for education to achieve the worldwide (WW) share and revenue goals. The role is responsible for ensuring that Microsoft wins with Windows devices, through better management, against key competitors in Education Institutions WW. This role will own the metrics associated with Windows Deployment and system Center billed revenue in education. 

The Key Skills required to be successful include:
• Strong business strategy and program development experience including a deep understanding of the education audience and their operating environment WW. 
• Strong understanding of the classroom and device management market today, including Mobile Device Management, Windows Intune, System Center and systems to manage competing devices. Capability to do gap analysis between BG offering and market requirement.
• Strong communication, cross team collaboration, long term project management skill. Excellent Microsoft internal experience across BG and Marketing orgs.
• Very strong presentation skills with EBC experience at presenting to K12 and HE customers on Device management.
• Customer facing and/or education technical account management experience. Ability to provide Corp Leadership with air-cover on deal negotiations.
• Understanding of internal MS technical and financial escalation and resource allocation.

The Key Deliverables are:
• Exceed the revenue and share targets for Device deployment and System Center billed revenue in Education. 
• Lead strategic thinking on Classroom and Device management for Education. Including correct metrics for devices.
• Be recognized as the highest point of field escalation for Device and classroom management and Rhythm of the Business process.
• Monthly reporting against metrics.
• Work with all WW Areas on Correction of Errors for Windows deployment and System Center Billed revenue.
• Communicate strategy and tactics for the WW Edu field in a proactive and timely manner throughout the year.
• Drive programs to win market share in Education devices WW.
• Ensure area and subsidiary best practice is shared WW.
• Drive alignment with Windows and other BGs to resolve issues specific to education.
• Achieve top 25% in EBC presentations over the year.
