Software Development Engineer, Senior - Startup Business Group
Do you want to build a V1 product that gives consumers an amazing new entertainment experience? The Startup Business Group (SBG) is a unique group at Microsoft focused on advanced technology. Our mission is to build new products for Microsoft’s mainstream business divisions, incorporating complex, new technology from Microsoft Research. We build new things and have lots of fun doing it.
We are working on revolutionary new video technologies using new and innovative technologies that span computer vision, computer graphics, NUI and hardware acceleration. In collaboration with Microsoft Research (MSR) we have validated a unique core technology, and are currently refining that technology as we develop new products for the XBOX division.
We’re looking for an experienced and highly skilled software developer who is interested in early-stage product development. The ideal candidate is highly motivated and excels in entrepreneurial environments. The candidate should also have a proven track record in product development.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain pipeline for processing video/mesh data.
• Experience with multi-threaded/multi-core programming.
• Experience with distributed architectures (multiple machines)
Minimum Qualifications:
• At least 5 years professional software development experience in C++
• Experience in C# and C++
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in video or graphics pipelines
