The role 

We are currently seeking a talented Plant and Equipment Specialist to work closely with our other transport specialists in Vanuatu.
With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in an engineering design consultancy and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
Suitable applicants will have/be:
  • More than 10 years of experience in the area of logistics and transport management; particularly in mechanics and construction fleet management
  • University qualifications in engineering or related field
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a team
  • Experience working in the South Pacific
  • Experience working on development programs with experience in institutional capacity building highly desirable
  • Experience implementing operational policies for the road transport sub-sector.
  • Applicants that have previous experience working with SMEC would be considered favourably
  • Able to undertake extensive travel (domestic and international).
