About the Job:
MFTransparency is looking for a Program Manager - Strategy, Finance and Communications. S/he will be responsible for managing and coordinating activities related to organization strategy, finance and administration, communications and external relations, and the development of educational materials. This is a 12 month contract position, and location is very flexible.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Strategy, finance, and administration:
- In coordination with the CEO and the finance officer, monitor and manage program budget;
- Support the development and evaluation of implementation strategy;
- Develop and support the development of new project and grant proposals, donor reports, and track KPIs (key performance indicators) for MFT to report to donors;
- Support the hiring, training, and supervision of staff.
- External relations and communications:
- Manage and build relationships with stakeholder institutions, donor organizations, regulatory and government agencies, and other partner organizations;
- Develop progress reports, presentations, and board reports to engage key stakeholders;
- Create and disseminate marketing and communication materials such as press releases, conference materials, presentations, etc. to increase MFTransparency’s profile in the international microfinance community;
- Oversee web and social media content (blog posts, twitter, educational resources, etc.);
- Manage the news and resources section of the WordPress website.
- Education and training:
- Plan and help implement MFTransparency events, workshops, and conferences;
- Contribute to the development of analytical reports based on pricing data;
- Contribute to the development of educational materials aimed at industry stakeholders.
- Support special projects as assigned by MFTransparency senior staff.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in International Affairs, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics or a related field;
- Knowledge of microfinance industry and 4 – 5 years’ experience working in related field;
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with experience of PR and marketing;
- Strong analytical skills, good quantitative, and qualitative research skills;
- Project management experience and organizational and planning skills a must;
- Ability to work effectively in teams and in diverse settings, ranging from non-profits to financial institutions, and interacting with field staff as well as senior management;
- Experience working and/or living in developing countries is desirable, and willingness to travel;
- Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, work independently as well as manage a team. Self-initiative and resourcefulness in completing projects in a timely manner;
- Experience managing a team, preferably remotely, and/or experience working on a remote/virtual team;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
- High proficiency with Microsoft office applications, especially Excel;
- Fluency in either Spanish or French preferred as well as English.
