Business Development Manager - DeHavilland EU | Brussels

Key Responsibilities
  • Build strong, loyal customer relationships and develop extensive knowledge of customers’ businesses, their objectives and how DeHavilland can help them achieve their goals
  • Be the customer champion of their customers within DeHavilland, making sure that we meet and exceed their business requirements
  • Advise the business on how we can add value to their accounts over and above the provision of solution/product
  • Optimise and efficiently utilise DeHavilland resource (Political Researchers, marketing, Head of Sales, Head of Content) to achieve our business and financial objectives within accounts
  • Feed customer-generated ideas for product enhancements to ensure that we continue to deliver ‘best of breed’ product with clear differentiation and value as perceived by our customers
  • Ensure that our premium brand values are always upheld in all customer communication and in our dealings with customers
Sales
  • Make new business calls to prospect base provided
  • Work with Trial team/Political Researcher for knowledge-share on accounts
  • Convert prospects to customers – exceeding short and long term revenue objectives
  • Renew annual contracts that have been won at 100% (volume and value)
  • Document all sales, prospect and account activity within Saleforce, managing the prospect pipeline and forecasting performance accurately
Service & Production Development
Feed into company-wide strategy on product innovation and service improvements in order to drive revenue and/or loyalty 
Essential Skills
  • Exceptional telephone sales skills
  • Professional customer facing skills  - engaging, influencing, listening, investigative, qualification of compelling need/value
  • Good internal & external relationship building skills
  • Can do attitude including creative problem solving abilities
  • Confidence and experience to use/work on own initiative as well as an effective team member
  • Great organisation and personal/time management abilities
  • Minimum 2 years B2B successful new business sales track record in the Corporate sector
  • Experience and evidence in using consultative selling approach
