Communications Manager - Kantor qwentes | Brussels
Kantor Qwentes is looking to recruit a new Communications Manager to join our expanding team. He/she will be part of a team responsible for implementation of a number of communications projects. The position will require experience in communications management (ideally of EC funded projects). Specific responsibilities are anticipated to include:
- Management and coordination of the communications team
- Communications campaign strategic planning and implementation
- Development, management and coordination of relevant on-going communications projects and teams including review and monitoring of detailed work plans
- Development of proposals and coordination of teams to secure new communications projects
- Drafting, proof reading and editing of content for project websites, thematic publications and articles (possibly to include magazine articles and journals, newsletters etc.)
- Design of targeted communications packages, including marketing and dissemination plans for specific target audiences/product groups
- Management and coordination of graphic design, audio-visual and publication product development (linked to specific projects)
The ideal candidate will have the following background, skills and experience:
- Relevant Bachelor's degree and ideally a relevant postgraduate qualification;
- At least 10 years relevant work experience in fields related to the position, of which at least 3 years should be in a management capacity
- English language at near-native level + fluency in at least one of the following additional languages (French, Spanish, German, Italian, Polish)
- Excellent writing /journalistic skills
- Knowledge and understanding of EU Rural Development Policy would be an advantage as would familiarity with EU policies and funding mechanisms
- Familiarity with HTML / CMS tools would be an advantage;
- Experience in development of publications for on and off line use, including a sound understanding of imagery, graphics, layout would be an advantage
- Previous experience of successful proposal writing for EC funded project opportunities would be an advantage
- Proven ability to multi-task and to tight deadlines
- Excellent communication, presentation, organisational and planning skills.
