Senior Manager E-Commerce | Qatar Airways | Doha
About Your Job:
As the Senior Manager E Commerce, you are in-charge of E-commerce of the Airline. This ranges from objective setting and strategy development to managing and ensuring the implementation of the various E-commerce initiatives globally. Your main objective is to increase direct-sales share, self-servicing penetration and to ensure a 5-star customer experience for all E-channels at the same time decreasing cost-of-sales and servicing. You will play a key role within the Commercial Department to develop and align sales, marketing and distribution strategies with the rapidly increasing importance of all e-channels for the airline industry in general. You will be directly accountable for the contribution of qatarairways.com to the total revenue of the airline.
You will manage the E Commerce team in Doha and functionally guide the Regional Direct Sales/ E-Commerce Managers to ensure Head Office and regional activities are aligned and implemented within the set time lines.
The position reports to Vice President Global Sales.
About You:
The ideal candidate for this role must have a minimum of 7 years job-related experience in an international airline sales and e commerce environment. Master’s degree or equivalent is highly preferable. You must have in depth understanding of the airline industry and the specific sales, marketing and distribution mechanisms. You must be knowledgeable about online sales and marketing technologies and latest industry trends across online retail and online travel in particular. Solid knowledge of core airline IT systems and it’s applications is an essential requirement for this role.
You must have excellent leadership capability and strong influencing and team working skills. You must have a strong understanding of the business and proven commercial acumen. We seek individuals who have strong decision making and problem solving skills and understand the diverse and challenging environment of airline sales.
