Job description

  • Drive operations and maintenance procurement activities on behalf of Statoil (UK) Ltd and TPD, leading strategic sourcing processes and managing the supply chain process. The position will report into Head of Procurement - Aberdeen
  • The Procurement function in Aberdeen will provide a vital service role to support project deliverables
  • Mariner and Bressay are new heavy oil field developments located east of Shetland on the UK continental shelf. The discovery contains approximately 1.8Billion barrels of oil in place in two reservoirs. 18 appraisal wells have been drilled. First oil from Mariner is planned for January 2017
  • In this role you will
  • Forge collaborative relationships with technical counterparts to understand project demands and market requirements within given category / area of responsibility
  • Drive given categories for the business in Aberdeen in close cooperation with local business representatives and corporate functions within and outside Procurement / SCM
  • Lead or participate in strategic sourcing processes including but not limited to:
  • Demand and market analysis
  • Supplier pre qualifications
  • Development of overall and specific procurement strategies
  • Development of tender packages and lead/coordinate complete tender processes
  • Vendor evaluation, negotiation and contract award
  • Drive and perform Contract Administration / Supplier Relationship Management
  • Advise internal customer on procurement issues
  • Coordinate / expedite goods and services as required
  • Apply and assure compliance with Statoil governing Supply Chain Management processes

Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • Work experience can compensate for lack of education
  • CIPS membership preferred

  • Experienced in strategic sourcing and SCM processes
  • Experienced in supporting large scale and high value operations and maintenance activities in the UKCS
  • Solid experience of UK legislative environment and contractual agreements
  • Demonstrable abilitiy to forge strong stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to work in a cross cultural / international working environment
  • SAP experience including Requisition to Pay models advantageous
  • Strong sense of integrity and impeccable ethics are both mandatory
