The role
We are currently seeking a Bus Engineer (Mechanical) to work closely with our other specialists in Nepal.
Key Responsibilities:
- This Bus Engineer will assist Public Transport Expert to identify the most likely sources of bus manufacturers and ITS suppliers that will meet the general fleet design characteristics under the limited implementation budget
- To carry out research on the bus manufacturers market and prepare necessary details of specifications for the required bus types and ITS applications, manufacturers' limitations, maintenance and depot requirements, delivery schedule, cost comparisons and a workshop to be hosted by the selected manufacturer
- Also to assist Public Transport Expert to complete the TOR for the future Trolley bus or BRT corridors
- Any other tasks as assigned by the Project/Team Leader
With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in an engineering design consultancy and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
Suitable applicants will have/be:
- Graduate in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field
- 15 years total professional experience
- 10 years' experience in Public Transport Sector with specialization in ITS and Bus Manufactures
- Overseas experience
