Employee Benefits Officer / AFAS Specialist, Delft, Netherlands


The Human Resources team consists of 5 employees of which one Manager HR, three HR Advisors and one Employee Benefits Officer. The Human Resource Management unit works with two systems at this moment, Persmaster and AFAS Profit HRM. The salary administration is registered and processed through Persmaster. However the wish is to start the implementation of Payroll AFAS to complete the transition from Persmaster to AFAS Profit on a short notice.

Responsibilities
The main responsibility will consist of the following project(s).
Projects
  • complete implementation AFAS Profit HRM, by o.a. developing standard letters, workflows and overviews;
  • implementation AFAS Payroll;
  • developing a registration and workflow for applicants.
Other responsibilities
Maintain the personnel administration and personnel files, process and prepare the salary administration and perform HR administrative procedures and activities within the framework of the Collective Labour Agreement and HR policies. To inform and advise HR colleagues and staff members on employee benefits, personnel insurances and pension related matters. More specifically the position entails:
  • register and update personnel data in HR administrative system and personnel files;
  • prepare the monthly salary run in conslutation with our external salary office;
  • register and monitor leave;
  • register sick and recovery calls;
  • design and deliver provide numeric data for management reports in AFAS.
Requirements
  • demonstrated knowledge of and experience with AFAS Profit HRM;
  • demonstrated knowledge of and experience with AFAS Profit Payroll;
  • demonstrated knowledge of and experience with Persmaster
  • knowledge of salary and personnel administration;
  • written and oral English proficiency;
  • flexible attitude and used to working independently.
Terms of employment
UNESCO-IHE is looking for a temporary replacement for the Employee Benefits Officer due to pregnancy- and maternity leave for a period of 4 months from 1 October 2013 until 27 January 2014. The position is based in Delft, The Netherlands. A competitive salary is offered depending on qualifications and experience in accordance with the conditions of employment for Dutch Universities. The appointment implies entry into the Netherlands' Civil Service Pension Fund (ABP).
