Cardno Emerging Markets USA, Ltd. (Cardno) is currently seeking an experienced Recruiter to support the Washington, DC office in recruiting staff for USAID and other donor-funded proposals, as well as, projects. A member of Cardno’s Emerging Markets Region, the Washington, DC office works in partnership with developing countries to deliver solutions for sustainable development. The position will be based in our Nairobi, Kenya office.

Responsibilities:

• Recruit long-term and short-term personnel for donor-funded (USAID, World Bank, MCC, Global Fund, CDC, etc.) proposals and projects
• Perform full life-cycle recruitment tasks, including developing staffing strategy, sourcing candidates, drafting and posting advertisements, screening resumes, conducting interviews, salary verification, checking references, negotiating compensation packages and mobilization/on-boarding
• Assist in managing an internal CV database 
• Attend eminence building events and career fairs
• Develop an extensive network of candidates
• Assist the Recruitment Team in designing new recruitment-related tools and materials  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree is required
• At least 3 years of experience recruiting long-term and short-term advisors for USAID and other donor-funded projects
• Prior experience in full-life cycle recruitment
• Knowledgeable in various sourcing techniques, particularly in social media
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with serial deadlines
