Who is the Sales Executive?
The role of the Sales Executive is an exciting role and crucial to ensuring the future success of a remarkable and unique 255 year old brand, namely Guinness! The history of this iconic brand and world leading stout is a compelling story of invention, passion and belief. Famous for its Irish provenance and exceptional colour, this most prestigious of black beers is brewed in over 50 countries and enjoyed in around 150 worldwide. Did you know the perfect Guinness 'two-part pour' takes 119.5 seconds? One thing is never in doubt, Guinness is worth the wait.
As territory manager your number one priority is to grow the share and sales of Guinness in around London’s diverse and exciting venues that you will be responsible for in the on-trade. This role in meant for a talented individual with initiative and positive attitude to rise to the challenge of any ambitious targets set.
Being a passionate individual with a hunger to learn, you will be consistently trained by the best of the best in our business to grow within Diageo and develop our company brands in the market; think about Guinness’s new exciting product launches such as Guinness Golden Ale and Hop House 13!
We are looking for a person who acts like an owner, who will embrace the autonomy to organise their work day, make their own appointments and decide on the most effective call plan come rain or shine. Someone with great relationships skills in order to have great sales conversations with businesses owners on a daily basis as well as great connectivity with suppliers and internal stakeholders. The role requires direct transactional selling, cellar checks and stock management are just the norm and will require you to have strong administration skills.

To be an outstanding Sales Executive you will need…
- Knowledge and passion for the beer industry (especially Guinness!)
- Know your territory – you are our expert in the area
- Experience in sales is desirable, but passion for a career in sales is a must
- To have great relationship building skills so as to easily build a rapport with customers
- Very organised, analytical and problem solving person
- Ambition to grow in the world’s leading drinks company
- The right to work in the UK, be over 21 years old and a full, clean driving license (mandatory)
