Expression of Interest for Property Consultancy to advise the Board of Trustees to Invest in Property

General Information

One of Our Clients, a reputable large sized pension Scheme, is considering investing in property and would like to invite reputable firms to offer property consultancy services to guide the Board of Trustees in achieving this objective.

The Objective of the Expression of Interest (EOI)

The Objective of this EOI is to advise the Trustees of the Pension Scheme to achieve their objective of investing in property. The scope of the appointment will include among other things:

• To advice the Board on the different types of properties available for investment e.g commercial, residential, industrial etc and the likely returns that can be earned from such properties and their associated risks;
• Advice the Board on the best options of undertaking property investment within the current legislative environment guiding pension schemes;
• To advise the Board on the different locations for property investment;
• To advise the Board on the specific properties or property investment opportunities currently available in the market
• Once the Board has agreed on a particular approach, guide the Board on the actual process of achieving the intended objective within the Board’s operating environment

Information Required in the Proposals

We request that your proposal includes the following information in your written submission:

• The ownership and structure of your organisation;
• Your approach in undertaking such assignments;
• The relevant qualifications and experience in carrying out similar assignments. Please give details of the assignments you have undertaken;
• All associated fees (and fee scales) in relation to your handling the exercise and basis for the same
• Any other relevant information that may be useful to the Scheme

Expression of Interest Submission

We therefore request that you submit your proposal, in a sealed envelope, on or before Friday, 18 February 2011 to Alexander Forbes Financial Services office, 10th Floor, Land Mark Plaza, Argwings Kodhek Road, Nairobi.

The submission should be marked “for K999/Property Consultancy”.
