Two Lectureships University of Buckingham - Law School

Starting salary Lecturer A £28,070 Lecturer B £33,230 .

The University of Buckingham is the world leader in offering three year degrees completed in two years. It is the UK's only independent University with a Royal Charter and aims to meet the individual needs of students by placing strong emphasis on small group teaching. The University was rated top in the National Student Satisfaction Survey in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to join our lively and well-established Law School, from April 1st 2011 or as soon as possible thereafter. We are looking for two new appointments who share our commitment to small group teaching and who will be able to contribute to maintaining and developing our LLB and LLM programme(s). An ability to offer at least one core subject and a specialist subject (either undergraduate or postgraduate level) would be an advantage: however, we welcome applications from candidates with a wide range of subject interests (please see Further Particulars for a list of preferred subjects). Successful candidates are expected to have, as well as first degrees (probably in Law), postgraduate degrees and/or relevant experience in teaching or in practice.

The Buckingham experience is unique, with regard to small group teaching, supporting students and working with a fantastically committed friendly and supportive staff, in a beautiful campus environment in the Buckinghamshire countryside which is within easy reach of London, Oxford and Milton Keynes. Visit our website www.buckingham.ac.uk/law for further details of our Law School.
