The Integration Management Office (IMO) leads the integration of FHI and the acquired assets of AED.

Position Summary: The Program Officer provides broad-based primary support to the IMO Lead and the team to include the including the development of processes and tools to manage the work of integration workstreams and projects.

S/He will specifically be responsible for coordinating activities of the Integration Program, an overarching program consisting of ten or more projects, each of which plans and implements changes to organizational staffing, structure and processes.

Essential Job Functions: Supports the IMO Lead and other IMO in senior managers performing the day-to-day activities of the Integration Program;

Serves as liaison to multiple workstreams;

Establishes and coordinates project management processes;

Contributing to quality assurance for project plans;

Prepares IMO presentations and reports and develops training materials;

Supports design and creation of systems and tools for Project Management;

Supports reporting to internal and external audiences

Provides input and recommendations on Integration planning and implementation;

May supervise the work of consultants.

Education: Masters in one of the following or related fields: Applied Management or Business or Business Administration or Management or Project Management required or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Experience: 7 year(s) of relevant experience required

Specific Knowledge Requirements:
Competency in project management; experience developing and implementing project management tools and processes based on project management theory;

Knowledge/understanding of organizational and team behavior. Knowledge and experience with non-profit organizations desireable;

Knowledge and/or experience with mergers & acquisitions, strategy, organizational behavior, organizational design, team dynamics, organizational change.

Experience developing presentations and reports for senior-level audiences.

PMP certification desirable.

Special Requirements: This job will require a criminal background check.
Skills: Must be able to use/perform the following: WordPerfect / MS Word
Strong written and verbal communication ability.

Ability to maintain confidential or privileged information;

Strong critical thinking skills and uses judgment to frame decisions and make recommendations to IMO Lead and other IMO staff.

Strong organizations skills with ability to prioritize and re-prioritize work as necessary.

Ability to interacting with senior management of both the acquiring and acquired organizations preferred.

Some travel to NC headquarters office likely however the travel will not be extensive.
