The Tshwane University of Technology has the following vacancies in senior management. All the posts are full-time, fiveyear fixed-term contracts. Please note that some of the following posts were advertised previously and previous applicants who are still interested are required to re-apply.


REGISTRAR
Peromnes Level 3 (Ref. 11/281)


The University seeks to employ an experienced and accomplished Registrar. Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor, the Registrar provides strategic leadership for the development, implementation and management of activities and systems related to the provision of sound legal services and good corporate governance. The incumbent also acts as secretary to Council and ensures effi cient provision of secretarial services to various committees. S/he provides management and coordination of graduation ceremonies and student academic administration and advises the University on relevant legislation, University statutes as well as the national higher education policies.


Requirements: • A relevant Master’s degree or equivalent appropriate postgraduate qualifi cation • At least five
years’ relevant experience in a similar portfolio at a senior management level • Knowledge of, and experience in,
University administration in terms of policy framework, planning development and governance structures • Understanding
of the Higher Education environment, including sound knowledge of the Higher Education Act and other related legislation • Strong co-ordination skills • Working knowledge of administrative, contract and copyright law • Project management skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Computer proficiency • Legal background and a legal qualification would be an added advantage.
