Specialist - Monitoring and Evaluation Dhaka, Bangladesh

The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with Project Cordinator and under the guidance of Project Team Leader (IRRI) on monitoring of the project activities, evaluation and reporting. The position is for the EU-GoB funded “Sustainable Soil Management for Food Security of Marginal and Small Farmers of Active Flood plains and Charlands of Bangladesh (SUSFER)” project.

Major accountabilities / responsibilities
• Monitor progress of planned activities, identify successes and constraints of implementation and prepare progress reports.
• Coordinate with implementing partners to prepare monthly and quarterly statements and annual progress reports.
• Assist the Project Team leader and Project Coordinator in preparing different types of reports and documents timely.
• Establish an operational Management Information System for linking different stakeholders and easy tracking of implementation status.
• Archive all project reports, proceedings, etc. for retrieval any time later.
• Assist the Team leader and project coordinator to facilitate implementing partners’ mid-term review and End of project review.
• Perform all other related duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Project Leader or Project Coordinator

Qualification requirements:
• Postgraduate degree in Agriculture, Economics, Agricultural Economics, or related fields, preferably a PhD
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in M&E or related work of large development project.
• Experience in working in international organizations in multi-cultural and multidisciplinary team setting.
• Strong communication, team building and report writing ability
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Demonstrated expertise and competency in designing project proposal, writing project reports, research reports and developing forms and formats for an efficient MIS system
