The successful candidate shall provide support to scientists, post-docs and researchers in field operations, laboratory and greenhouse activities, including processing of plant and soil samples for analysis, collect data from loggers, field and pot experiments. Assist in the setup of pot experiment; encode data collected and proofread encoded data.
Major accountabilities / Responsibilities
• Assist in implementing field operations and setup of pot experiment including plant sampling, sample processing and data collection
• Monitor field and pot experiments and oversee contract workers to help ensure all field operations from land preparation to harvest are within the standards of quality assurance
• Encode and proofread data collected to ensure quality of data for further analysis
• Perform all other related duties that may be assigned from time to time by the supervising IRS
Qualification requirements
• At least 2 years college education
• At least 2 years relevant experience
• Knowledgeable on data encoding, collecting data from data loggers and on field operations including collection and processing of plant samples
