We are now searching for a:
COMMUNITY MANAGER INDIA AND SOUTH ASIA
The Asia Team, Centre for Regional Strategies, engages leaders from government, business and civil society from Asia to shape global, regional and industry agendas. It is responsible for managing government and institutional relations across Asia. It executes two regional events: the India Economic Summit and the World Economic Forum on East Asia. It also implements regional strategies for constituent development and management. As a community manager, you will:
• Support the development of the regional government strategy across South Asia
• Serve as a liaison with key institutional partners such as the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in India and government ministries and agencies
• Monitor closely and evaluate business developments, media reports and policy changes that impact South Asian stakeholders and the Forum’s Asia strategy
• Assist Indian and South Asian stakeholders in all phases of their preparation for Forum events across regions
• Serve as the Forum’s regional expert for South Asia and assure the engagement of appropriate leaders from Asia in Forum initiatives, projects and other regional events
• Be responsible for the development of the programme and the engagement of senior participants for the annual India Economic Summit
• Lead the Global Agenda Councils on India and Pakistan
You will join the Forum as part of our Global Leadership Fellows Programme, www.weforum.org/glf. As such, you will be fully integrated in the World Economic Forum and benefit from an intensive work and learning experience intended to develop and train future leaders of global enterprises and international organizations.
We expect you to exhibit demonstrated leadership capabilities, excellence in the fields of business, culture and geopolitics, and a proven interest in global affairs. You have a minimum of four to six years’ professional experience, including relevant exposure to South Asia. You possess a broad intellectual background with a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in international relations, economics or international business. You are fluent in spoken and written English. South Asian speaking skills are a plus. Finally, you have strong communication and presentation skills to senior level decision-makers from government, industry and civil society.
