Incorporated as a not-for-profit foundation in 1971 and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, the Forum is tied to no political, partisan or national interests.
We are now searching for a:
COMMUNITY MANAGER, MIDDLE EAST AND NORTH AFRICA
The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) team integrates the foremost government, civil society and business leaders from the region into the work of the World Economic Forum, which stems from a firm commitment to improving the state of the world.
As a Community Manager, you will:
• Cultivate and build relationships with representatives of governments from the MENA region
• Monitor policy priorities of MENA governments to ensure the Forum’s work on the region is cutting edge and up-to-date
• Undertake open-source research on economic, social and political issues on the regional agenda
• Engage the most relevant MENA business and thought leaders in communities; such community management ranges from agenda setting and programme development, to taking minutes in meetings and other administrative responsibilities
• Contribute directly to the preparation and execution of the annual World Economic Forum on the Middle East and North Africa; this includes the development of the meeting’s programme, and involvement in logistical and budgetary matters
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure Middle East and North Africa issues are well integrated into the overall work of the Forum
• Provide expert knowledge on MENA issues
We expect you to exhibit demonstrated leadership capabilities, excellence in the fields of business, culture and geopolitics, and a proven interest in global affairs. You have a minimum of three years of professional experience in a leadership role, including relevant exposure to Middle East and North Africa. You possess a broad intellectual background with a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in international relations, economics or business. You are proficient in spoken and written English and Arabic. Fluency in French would be an advantage. Finally, you are willing to work in a very dynamic setting, requiring outstanding results under pressure and in the context of frequent travel.
