COMMUNITY MANAGER, SOUTH ASIA
MEMBERSHIP TEAM
The Membership and Global Growth Companies team establishes and maintains close collaborative working relationships with the World Economic Forum’s stakeholders from the business sector. This includes engaging senior business executives and other stakeholders to participate in the activities and initiatives of the Forum. The team also implements regional strategies for constituent development and management. As a Community Manager, you will:
• Be responsible for increasing Indian and South Asian membership, as well as the active involvement of existing Members in Forum activities
• Co-develop the value proposition that the Forum offers to key Members from South Asia, including the programmes of our regional activities, as well as our Annual Meeting in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, and the Annual Meeting of the New Champions in the People’s Republic of China
• Monitor closely and evaluate business developments, media reports and policy changes that impact South Asian business leaders and the Forum’s Asia strategy
• Assist Indian and South Asian stakeholders in all phases of their preparation for Forum activities across regions
• Serve as the Forum’s regional expert for South Asia and assure the engagement of appropriate leaders from Asia in Forum initiatives, projects and other regional events
We expect you to exhibit demonstrated leadership capabilities, excellence in the fields of business, culture and geopolitics, and a proven interest in global affairs. You have a minimum of three to five years of professional experience, including relevant exposure to South Asia. You possess a broad intellectual background with a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in international relations, economics or international business. You are fluent in spoken and written English. South Asian language skills would be an advantage. Finally, you have strong communication skills in order to present to senior level decision-makers from government, industry and civil society.
