EDITORIAL ASSOCIATE, COMMUNICATIONS
RISK RESPONSE NETWORK (RRN)
Uniquely placed to catalyse a response to the new reality of a world of risk, the World Economic Forum provides private and public sector leadership with an independent platform to better monitor, prepare for, respond to and mitigate risks: the Risk Response Network (RRN). An exclusive and trusted community, the RRN is strategically positioned to respond to a continuously evolving risk landscape by leveraging the World Economic Forum’s knowledge base, experience sharing and stakeholder approach. The RRN community will focus on risks where multistakeholder collaboration can strengthen global, regional and industry risk resilience.
The Editorial Associate of the RRN reports to the head of the RRN Communications Team, creating content for the Network and managing its publications. In this role, you will:
• Create and publish content for the community (printed publications, online content, e-mail communication) as well as write and publish content on the World Economic Forum’s public platforms (printed publications, website, social media)
• Manage RRN publication needs (reports, brochures) and processes, ensuring knowledge from within and beyond the community is seamless
• Implement the RRN’s internal and external communications strategy, including media relations
• Implement an electronic community strategy to build the community by engaging its members (discussions, knowledge exchange) as well as engaging the RRN team to feed the portal fresh innovative insights
You have a Master’s degree and two to three years’ working experience as a writer or journalist in printed and electronic publishing. You understand the world of business society and are passionate about putting together crisp, articulate communications for busy people. You have solid editorial skills and are adept at generating insightful content – either fresh content or adapting existing content for a different platform or audience. You will need to be forward-thinking with planning, execution and follow-up skills. You are also a team player who delivers under tight deadlines. Fluent spoken and written English are a must and additional languages a definite plus.
