Kenyatta University Scholarships 2012 - 2012

Full OVS Scholarships
Kenyatta University is offering FOUR (4) Scholarships for Orphans and Vulnerable Students (OVS) from Kenya seeking to pursue undergraduate degrees at KU. The scholarships will cover the full tuition cost beginning the academic year 2012/2013 for OVS who have already been admitted to KU programmes.

Requirements: Minimum C+ Mean grade in 2010 or 2011 KCSE.

Partial OVS 40% Scholarships
There are TWENTY (20) Partial Scholarships for tuition for full time students already ¡n session at KU for the year beginning September 2012/2013. The scholarship will cover 40% tuition cost beginning the academic year 2012/2013 for students with proven high performance and genuine need of financial assistance.

Partial OVS 25% Scholarships
There are SIXTEEN (16) Partial Scholarships for tuition from Kenyatta University Students Association (KUSA); for full time students already in session at KU for the year beginning September 2012/2013. The scholarship will cover 25% tuition cost beginning the academic year 2012/2013 for students with proven high
performance and genuine need of financial assistance.

KU Internal Bursary
The Internal bursaries are for students already enrolled into Kenyatta University programmes and are awarded based on the need of vulnerable students. Special forms are availed at Dean of Students Office in September annually, a week after start of an academic year. Applicants are advised to provide copies of documents supporting their need.

KU Postgraduate Scholarships
The University is offering TWENTY (20) postgraduate scholarships to cover tuition for the Masters programme. These scholarships will be awarded to graduate students admitted in September 2012/2013 academic year and will be based on proven high academic performance.

Note: Application Procedure for OVS Scholarships
All interested applicants must submit the following to the KU Financial Aid Office by July 31st 2012: Application letter, filled application form, certified copies of relevant certificates/transcripts, reference letter by Head Teacher and a short essay of 200 words on why you deserve the scholarship.
