JOB TITLE: Security Agents (8 posts)

DEPARTMENT: Security

LOCATION: Kigali

1. JOB PURPOSE
   Responsible for ensuring the company Security program is fully implemented and ensures strict enforcement of standard operating procedures which provides a safe and secure environment for flights

1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for proactive gathering of intelligence information related to aviation security to enable the Security Manager take prompt action to prevent sabotage threat to the airline and to constantly identify appropriate technological protection systems for aviation security as well as for the physical security of the company’s other sites.

• Analyses and evaluates security situations, distribute intelligence material and information to the Security Manager and co-ordinate circulation of approved information inside and outside of the security department to facilitated prompt pre-emptive auctioning on security threats.

• Builds a good working environment with fellow Airport security service providers and relevant stakeholders to immediately react to issues affecting concerned parties in discharge of duties and all sorts of problems that can affect the operations of security department.

• In liaison with Security Agents carries out positive passenger identification; including spot checks and post flight security analysis.
• Have a high level of security clearance and knowledge.
• Have regular meetings with intelligence agencies.
• Ensures day to day operational compliance with the company’s and Airport Security programs, procedures and processes to ensure compliance with ICAO, IATA and all other standard operating procedures.
• Regularly investigate and promptly report and discuss issue/incidents of security concern to the Security Manager and promptly implement agreed actions.
• Consistently monitor trends, evaluate and track issues of security concerns at the Airport and compile statistics for review and discussion with the Security Manager and/or Quality, Safety and Security Manager and/or the CEO. And should when the need arises to inform the authorities of prevailing situations.
• Keep vigilance on intelligence information for pre-emptive action

• Directly responsible to: Security Supervisor
• Supervision of: All Security Agents
• Functional relationships with: Other Senior Line Officers
• External : Government and Industry Regulators e.g. RCAA etc , contracted security units

1. JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

• University Degree in any field.
• Having undergone aviation security training from a recognized institution is an added advantage
• He/she must be computer literate.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Analytical thinking
• Good Interpersonal skills
• Conversant with aviation security program systems and procedures
• High level of Integrity and Confidentiality
• Attention to detail
• Ability to manage and assess security risks and take proactive actions
