Donor Coordinator – Major Trusts & Foundations

SALARY: £35800 to £36,000pa
LOCATION: preferably London or Nairobi. Other locations considered

We have an ambitious strategy to double income from statutory and similar donors over the next five years.

The International Partnership Development team within ActionAid International will play a key role in supporting members/country programmes to plan for and fundraise from statutory donors as well as manage contracts when won.

Join us as a Donor Coordinator and you will help achieve fundraising targets by focusing on our engagement with major trusts and foundations. You will provide expertise and intelligence as well as support for applications and awarded contracts.

You will help maximise income by co-ordinating our fundraising approaches to selected international trusts and foundations. This will involve working with fundraising members and country programmes to identify such donors and devising and supporting an integrated donor approach strategy.

You will support the development of proposals, ensuring submissions are of the highest quality and meet regulatory requirements. For successful proposals you will support start up and advise on contract compliance. Important will be your ability to deliver regular analysis and reporting on contracts and grants.

You will have significant experience of working with international trusts and foundations in a funding capacity.

This will have given you sound knowledge of their rules and regulations and a proven track record in proposal design and fundraising success. In addition you will posses excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills as well as the ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment, often at a distance.

Knowledge of a second European language would be useful.
