Human Resources Director Location: London, UK

The Human Resources Director will lead on development, and drive forward the HR strategy globally, in addition to the development of HR policies and processes to meet Malaria Consortium’s objectives. The post holder will be accountable for resourcing, succession planning, senior management development, employee engagement, reward and employee relations for the organisation, in accordance with Malaria Consortium’s strategic and operational objectives, principles and values.

The successful candidate will have:

•Proven significant experience of working at senior level for an International Non-Governmental Organisation (INGO)
•Been educated to degree level
•CIPD qualified to Chartered Member or equivalent experience
•Significant experience of working with employment laws and practices in countries where Malaria Consortium operates in Europe, Africa and Asia
•Substantial experience of providing an HR service to a multi-site operation
•Experience of working in networks and building strong working relationships
•Proven ability of human resource planning
•Experience of a flexible approach to managing and prioritising a high workload and multiple tasks in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
•Experience of proactively identifying and addressing issues
•Ability to work in multi-cultural environments
•Broad knowledge and experience in international employment law in countries where Malaria Consortium operates, reward and recognition, organisational development, employee relations and training and development
•Demonstrable ability to lead and develop HR staff and systems
•Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
•A fluent level of English, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
