Technical Advisor/Materials Developer for Economic Growth Social Impact

Objective:

Social Impact is seeking an Economic Growth Technical Advisor/Materials Developer for a proposal to USAID in response to a task order request for Gender Integration into Strategic Planning and Project Design. The EG Technical Advisor will assist the Senior Technical Trainer in the expansion of existing USAID courses on strategic planning and project design to ensure the incorporation of gender equality and female empowerment objectives. The EG Technical Advisor will revise existing material for the Bureau of Policy, Planning, and Learning (PPL) project design course, and will also develop new online case studies, examples, exercises, and instructions indicating where gender equality can be integrated in the design, implementation, and M&E of projects, specifically in the economic growth sector.

Qualifications:

  • An advanced degree in a relevant field is required, with a strong preference for economics, sociology, international development, and/or political science;
  • 5 years of practical experience in the development of technical tools and materials for field-based development practitioners is required;
  • 5 years of training experience for field-based development practitioners in the realm of Economic Growth is strongly preferred;
  • At least 5 years of experience with curriculum development and gender integration is required;
  • Familiarity with USAID policies and regulations, as well as experience working with USAID, is essential.
