Role:

It is against this backdrop that Amtrak is actively looking to fill the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) role. The CFO provides leadership to all aspects of Amtrak’s businesses and corporate activities.  Working with the Executive Committee, the CFO leads overall corporate financial strategy development; including shaping metrics and analytics, business forecasting,growth strategies, and ensures effective execution.  The CFO also provides functional leadership of all aspects of finance, including providing timely and accurate preparation of financial information and analysis, and ensuring a control infrastructure to protect and maximize the value of the assets and investments of Amtrak.  As a member of the Executive Committee, the CFO role models teamwork and commitment to the success of Amtrak.  Position reports to the CEO.

Foundational Accountability:

Leads safe and secure operations by effectively contributing to a safe work environment for employees and travel experience for customers.Demonstrates necessary leadership to support a zero incident and injury culture within the Finance organization and Amtrak.

Functional Accountabilities:

Drives the external enterprise value perspective into critical decision making
Sets Corporate financial strategy and ensures effective strategy execution
Develops and executes Finance, Corporate Development and Sourcing functional strategies
Directsfinancial controls and operations
Developstalent and creates a culture of accountability
Preferential Experience and Qualifications:

Expertise in Congressional appropriations process and credit securitization, credibility and relationship building with the White House, Congress and investment community.
Progressive record of success in business operations and Finance including enterprise risk management.
Successfully led financial growth in high-performing companies.
Experience in a Balanced Scorecard environment.
Ability to influence and be accountable to the Board and Audit Committee.
Track record in elevating the performance of the Finance and Procurement team.
MBA in Finance and CPA.
