Department

BBC News On Demand is an important part of the Multimedia Newsroom. As audiences increasingly look to access their news on demand, the department develops and promotes BBC News content on a variety of platforms and new technologies as and when they emerge.

Role

We need a Science and Environment Producer / Video Journalist in the On Demand area to meet the challenge of a growing audience for its content. We want to find and make distinctive material for a range of platforms, including the web, ipTV, tablets and mobile phones. We are looking for people who have imagination, and who are creative and flexible enough to meet that challenge. This job is specifically in the area of Science and Environment News.

Requirements

Successful candidates will have a background in News and Current Affairs. They will have strong production skills in a number of disciplines. They will know where to find the best Science and Environment content already produced by the BBC. And they will have ideas, and the ability to turn those ideas into first-class content.
