Position Summary
The Data Management Coordinator will contribute to the development and support for the QGC Production Operations systems.
To ensure that Production Operations have quality data and systems available to enable them to be efficient and effective.
Key Accountabilities
 
Core Accountabilities
Position Specific
Data Collection
·         Will facilitate the collection of Production Operations data.
·         Will facilitate the setup and configuration of data collection systems to meet approved design requirements.
·         Will undertake manual activities to support data collection as required including the entry of Operator Run Sheet data.
Data Quality
·         Will liaise with customers to identify where data quality does not meet requirements and expectations.
·         Will seek customer confirmation that data quality issues have been resolved to customer expectations.
·         Will engage support groups to rectify data quality issues.
·         Will collate, review and report data quality metrics.
·         Will undertake analysis to identify frequent and systemic data quality issues.
Solution Governance
  • Will prepare requests for capital funding (PPI) for proposed business initiatives in liaison with business and supplier stakeholders.
  • Will facilitate the identification of the total solution cost for a proposed business solution.
  • Will facilitate the identification of business benefits, both tangible and intangible, required to justify a business solution.
  • Will facilitate confirmation of required OPEX funding for existing business solutions for budgeting purposes.
Solution Delivery
  • Will document business processes within Operations.
  • Will review specification documents describing solution changes.
  • Will undertake testing of data solutions including logging of test defects and confirming when they have been resolved.
  • Will liaise with supplier groups relating to the resolution of solution delivery defects (bugs).  
  • Will assist with the implementation of business solution changes including communication and change management.
  • Will facilitate risk assessment relating to proposed solution changes.
  • Will facilitate the identification of risk mitigation options where required toreduce risk to Operations.

Solution Support
  • Will act to ensure the timely resolution of solution support issues.
  • Will develop and review Business Support Agreements. 
  • Will review Business Support Agreements with the Data Management Team and supplier teams to identify any support gaps and to improve the level of delivered support.
  • Will investigate systemic operational issues including root cause analysis and liaison with subject matter experts to determine root causes.

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute

Experience
  • Proven ability to deliver assigned activities to agreed expectations including prompt escalation of constraints.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver numerous changes simultaneously within a dynamic production environment.
  • Proven customer liaison and solution delivery ability.
  • Ability to identify systemic issues in production systems and to identify root causes.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to clearly articulate issues and propose recommendations.
  • Ability to build rapport and effective professional relationships with key customer and supplier stakeholders
  • Demonstrated initiative in proactively identifying areas for attention and proposing and implement solutions
  • Competent level of knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
