HUMAN CAPITAL MANAGEMENT DIVISION, FIRMWIDE COMPENSATION, ASSOCIATE/VICE PRESIDENT - HONG KONG
We are seeking an Associate/Vice President level candidate for the AEJ firmwide compensation function within the Reward team. The compensation team is responsible for policy design, counseling local management on the firm’s pay strategies and practices, and providing compensation analysis for management. The work is invariably of a confidential nature and requires a unique combination of skills to deliver workable solutions to a diverse range of issues.
This position will be based in Hong Kong providing Asia Pacific ex Japan coverage, whilst working closely with the Pan Asia team and interacting with colleagues globally.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Partner with Divisional HCM to advise or deliver workable solutions to business on compensation issues
• Assist with structuring lateral hire compensation offers, including calculating the value of forfeited equity
• Create and run a variety of ad hoc compensation reports, analysis and diagnostics
• Support the year-end compensation process – including salaries, total compensation and promotion recommendations
• Draft functional specifications for regional enhancements to comp system and coordinate roll-out and user acceptance testing
• Manage other region-specific compensation programs and processes
• Liaise with Divisional HCM, Tax, Legal, and Controllers on compensation inquiries
• Work closely with Technology on system enhancements and automation to achieve operational efficiency
• Minimum of seven years relevant experience
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Knowledge of MS Access, Business Objects and PeopleSoft a plus
• Ability to take ownership and work independently to achieve objectives and thinks multiple steps ahead
• Strong oral and written communications skills
• Ability to handle high degree of confidential information with appropriate discretion
• Excellent analytical skills
• Well-developed organizational and administrative skills including attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure
• Flexibility and ability to multi-task
• Japanese and/or Mandarin languages are ideal but not mandatory

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or related field• Minimum of seven years relevant experience
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Knowledge of MS Access, Business Objects and PeopleSoft a plus
