Position Summary
Manage all Occupational Health and wellbeing programs applicable for BG Brasil.
Provide the organization with a proactive health management system. Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and Group standards implementation.
Key Accountabilities
 ·       Coordinate Program of Occupational Health and Medical Control implementation which establishes appropriate medical examinations/health evaluations including pre-employment medical examinations, periodic medical examinations, return to work evaluations and fitness to work standards (onshore/offshore) in accordance with local legislation (NR-7)
·         Assist in developing health standards and wellbeing programs implementation
·         Assist in health risk assessments
·         Assure Company compliance with current laws and regulations pertaining to health and hygiene and work in accordance with relevant BG standards on HSE management, working environment and health issues.
·         Act as a medical first point of contact for BG employed visitors to Brazil as well as overseas expatriates with their families.
·         Ensure that there are adequate medical resources to meet Company’s medical emergency response plan and contingency arrangements
·         Ensure that documents and all medical information are kept in a confidential manner in accordance with Brazilian legal requirements
·         Routinely provide advice and assistance to Company personnel regarding health and hygiene
·       Lead occupational illness investigation for company employees identifying root causes, propose mitigation actions and report it according to regulatory requirements (Social Security Ministry)
·         Advise BG Brasil on pandemic issues, prevention of infectious diseases or epidemics in Brazil
·         Act as a company advisor on lifestyle issues and campaigns pertaining to health planned by the company
·         Take the initiative to report trends or issues relevant to before they become a major issue (symptoms related to chemical exposure, alcohol abuse and stress issues, excess travel and workload issues among others)
Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
·         Excellent knowledge of occupational health legislation, mainly NR-7 (PCMSO), NR-9 (PPRA) and NR-     17 (Ergonomics)
·         Knowledge of sanitary legislation, mainly related to safe food and food hygiene (ANVISA / RDC no. 216 and 218)  
 
·         Good computer and software skills (HSE reporting tools, excel, power point, Internet)
 
·         Effective communication ability
·         Understands HSE management systems.
·         Graduated in Medicine and certified as Occupational Physician (NR-4 compliance)
·         Solid oil & gas in Health management related positions with 5 to 10 years experience
·         Competence and experience in medical emergency response systems, occupational health and wellbeing programs coordination
·         Language skills - Fluency in Portuguese and English is required
·         Accountability for delivery
·         Good planning skills.
