Description
This position is within the PI Web Technology group which is responsible for the design and development of transactions related to customer account access, trading (equities, mutual fund, options, multi-leg options etc), money movement, CESG , Market data and more.
Current architecture is Tomcat/Struts-based. The team supports these transactions and webservices for Fidelity.com, NetBenefits, Active Trader Pro, ATP.com and mobile applications.

Primary Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Participate in or provide technical leadership for the development and implementation of our web applications.
- Work within a technical team of developers and be directly involved in the delivery of web based applications.
- Design and develop applications using J2EE technologies including some open source use.
- Work closely with the user community for project definition and with other technical groups in a highly collaborative, cross- disciplinary environment.
- Build new sites, maintain existing code and troubleshoot by writing consistent, reliable and maintainable code.
- QA /test all project work
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- 5-6 years of experience with front-end server side development and hands on development experience supporting a high volume transaction service
- Ability to articulate technical designs, strategies and problems to management as well as mentor both junior and senior level developers
Skills and Knowledge
- Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Java, J2EE, HTML5, Javascripts, JQuery, DOJO, object oriented design and development.
- Strong knowledge of Unix operating system, shell scripts, PERL, TCP/IP
- Experience in performance optimization at system and application level and trouble shooting distributed applications
- Knowledge of XML/XSL/JSP
- Working experience with CSS and Responsice Web Preferred
- Hands on experience with configuration and deployment of Tomcat, WebSphere, Weblogic and iPlanet.
- Knowledge of struts and other java related tools and framework
