Programme Development Coordinator (Africa)


We are recruiting a Programme Development Coordinator (PDC), who will work with the field teams to ensure relevant funding support for three country programmes in Africa. This role will focus, at least in the first instance, on our programmes in Central African Republic (CAR), Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Uganda. Approximately 30% of the work will be assisting field team develop project concepts and submitting institutional proposals, a further 50% in reporting and grant management, and 15% in developing relationships with established donors and other actors to influence their activities in the context of our advocacy work.  Additionally, the PDC will offer programme information to the communication and fundraising teams.
The PDC will provide critical support to the Country Directors ensuring all reports are submitted in a timely manner.  The PDC will be line managed by the Operations Grants Manager (OGM). The OGM will provide direction on fundraising issues, including proposal development and writing and the Programmes Director will provide direction on methodology, strategic alignment and programme development. The PDC will be UK based although there will be opportunities to travel to the country programme they support to provide proposal development, reporting and evaluation support; subject to security considerations.
