Senior Community Manager, International Organizations and Government Affairs

INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS AND GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS
GLOBAL LEADERSHIP FELLOW
 
The International Organizations and Government Affairs team is responsible for the Forum's relations with international organizations. It also manages the Informal Gathering of World Economic Leaders (IGWEL), bringing together heads of state and government, senior ministers and heads of international organizations for private discussions pertaining to global governance issues.
 
You will work with the director and other team members on the overall development and management of the IGWEL programme; you will support the director and managing director in devising the regional strategy and ensuring coordination among the Forum’s regional teams; you will monitor and synthesize developments on global governance topics that are of relevance to the team’s work, including publications, research reports and media articles.
 
More specifically, you will work with the managing director to define and execute strategy; you will work to identify, shape, prioritize and communicate the IGWEL portfolio, both internally and externally; you will participate in a collaborative effort to integrate IGWEL activities in other teams’ programmes and initiatives to increase synergies between teams; you will drive projects related to the International Organization’s community, from concept to delivery; you will manage a Global Agenda Council.
 
You have a Master’s degree in international relations, public policy, economics, journalism or a related field. You have a minimum of four to six years’ experience in an international setting. Previous experience working with high-level, demanding clients would be a plus. In addition, you demonstrate a proven interest in global affairs. You have flawless organizational skills, pay excellent attention to detail, and have the ability to work under pressure and against tight deadlines. You demonstrate a high level of energy and you are a proactive self-starter as well as able to work well within and across teams. You are fluent in English (with other languages an asset) and have excellent writing skills, with the ability to identify the main global governance issues and to articulate how the World Economic Forum can help to address them.
