WWF-UK Regional Officer - Brazil & Amazon


The Brazil-Amazon region has been identified as a priority for WWF-UK, for the five year period 2013-2018. You will be part of a newly formed four person team that manages a range of UK funded projects in Brazil, Colombia and potentially other countries in the Amazon region. The current portfolio includes work on freshwater, forest and climate change issues and is supported by various donors that include, HSBC, the UK Government and Sky.
Under the direction of the Head of Programmes - Brazil, you will manage a portfolio of WWF-UK supported work in Brazil for clear Outcomes (with milestones). In doing so you will ensure contracts are well managed, including technical and financial information so that TPRs and Financial reporting are on period and to quality. Additionally, you will work with the Communications and Fundraising Department to deliver communications and fundraising objectives as well as work with other members of your team to develop and inform organisation development in the region. This role is initially expected to manage a freshwater (Inc. HSBC Pantanal) and climate portfolio and International Travel may be required.
