Head of Policy & Research
NCVO’s award-winning Policy and Research Team is at the heart of our role as a champion of the voluntary sector and volunteering. Our long-term programme to build the best quality evidence base for the voluntary sector underpins our reputation for highly effective policy work and campaigns. We are the partner of choice for organisations in the public, private and voluntary sectors. And as our membership grows beyond 10,000 organisations we’re increasingly benefiting from member engagement in our policy and research work.
We are now looking for somebody to lead this successful team in what is a high-profile role. Working with other teams in the Public Policy Department, you will develop further our policy and research strategy, helping to ensure that NCVO is leading debates about the future of the voluntary sector and volunteering.
You will have significant experience of managing policy and research in a busy public policy organisation, ideally from working with the voluntary sector. Educated to degree level or with equivalent experience, your analytical skills and ability to communicate issues to senior decision makers will be exceptional. You will also bring experience of generating income or fundraising to support your work.
